Hale-Mayfair

Hale-Mayfair Neighborhood Highlights

In its day, living in Hale-Mayfair was considered a healthy alternative to the moral dilemmas of city living. Translation? Too much drinking and dancing that central Denver offered.

Enhanced with tree-lined street and serene atmosphere, the neighborhood is quite eclectic architecturally. With 50’s Ranch, Bungalows, Tudors, Victorians, New Build, Condo, Duplex and Town Homes it manages to still retain the charm of an old Denver neighborhood.

The development of the Colorado Blvd corridor from Colfax Ave to 8th Ave is an increased draw to the neighborhood with a great selection of restaurants, shops, Rose Hospital and the leading respiratory hospital in the nation, National Jewish. More impressive, with the relocation of the Colorado University Medical School, residents pulled together to defeat a proposal to build a Walmart in its place and instead opting for the development of a new mixed-use space that will include housing and shopping.
